Murphy’s Monday   no comments

Posted at 2:13 am in Property

You start off your Monday feeling less lively than you did the previous day. The promise of the weekend has dwindled away until you’re left with nothing but dread for day. Seven a.m. traffic, inconsiderate drivers who don’t use their turning signals, and spilled coffee on your white blouse set the tone for the rest of your day. It’s going to be awful and there’s nothing you can do about it.

You somehow make it through the day. You come home with your takeout pizza and turn on the TV so they will both be ready for you when you get out of the shower, which was the only gasoline that kept your minimum wage van running for the past nine hours. However, fate and your thirty year old pipes have other ideas. The luscious water that you imagined streaming from your showerhead never comes.

Sometimes, all you really need is an emergency plumber Manchester, but Murphy’s law has other ideas.

Recommendations for Asian Lodging   no comments

Posted at 1:37 am in Asia

I want to share with you the amazing experience I had on my recent stay in Singapore. My husband and I finally decided to take our long overdue second honeymoon and decided to go somewhere in Asia. I credit most of our enjoyable journey to the magnificent service I received at our hotel.

My husband did a lot of research on Singapore hotels before we purchased our plane tickets because if the area was known for poor service, we would have chosen another locale. Fortunately Singapore got mostly five star reviews across the board when rated for lodging.

On our vacation we enjoyed breakfast in bed every morning, afternoon massages and an open poolside bar in the evenings when we went swimming. There was a lot to see and do in Singapore outside of our hotel, but most of the time we preferred to stay put. The service and amenities were so luxurious that we felt as if the hotel itself was our own miniature paradise.

A Landscaper’s Dream   no comments

Posted at 6:13 am in Gardening

Any gardener or landscaper is familiar with using rocks or pebbles. Some tiny stones are effective in stopping drainage around flowers, plants, and small trees. Easy on the eyes, stones add a rocky, natural element to whatever it surrounds. Whereas rocks are big and clunky, most gravel is easy to move; however, the same rocky effect is achieved, albeit in a far daintier way.

In many cases, pea gravel is a dream for landscapers. The small pebbles can be loaded into the bed of a truck, and then scooped out and placed wherever it is needed. It feels and moves like sand, yet looks like rocks. It can also be used to make cement, giving the pebbles an elemental quality gardeners and landscapers dream of. The dream becomes real when a worker uses his shovel to pat down the tiny pebbles, turning the ground into a stony walkway.

My Asthma Allergy Discovery   no comments

Posted at 7:59 am in Health

Many people can have asthma for a number of years without even knowing it. Unfortunately, was one of those people. Once upon a time, my kindergarten class undertook an arts and crafts endeavor. In this particular project, I and my fellow students were working with tiny particle fragments, such as red dirt, golden gravel and other colorful decorative sands. Suddenly, I began choking and wheezing out of control. They took me to the nurse’s office, where she described my symptoms to be those of a person suffering from asthma, even though I had no prior history with the affliction. Sure enough, a visit to the doctor’s office confirmed it. I guess the moral of the story is that just because you have never been diagnosed with an allergy, doesn’t mean you might not have it lying dormant in your system. Next time you’re thinking of chowing down on an unfamiliar food, consider checking in with your doctor beforehand; it might save your life.

How I Keep My Husband Happy   no comments

Posted at 9:19 am in Therapy

I have been married for 20 years. People often ask me how my husband and I managed to keep our marriage together for so long. I tell them that I have always been focused on keeping my husband happy. He does not ask me for much, but when he does ask me for something, he gets what he wants. He also tries his best to keep me happy. I really do not even have to ask for anything because he already goes out of his way to please me.

My husband and I do a lot of things together. We really do not even like to be apart from one another. Last Saturday, we went out to eat and then got a Thai massage Manchester. After that, we went home and watched movies for the rest of the day.

Improving My Business   no comments

Posted at 8:19 am in Home Based Business

For many months I had been giving piano lessons to children and adults every afternoon and all day on Saturday. All my piano students were doing great and my business was booming, but I felt that I could expand, and in order to do that I wanted to put an ad in the local newspaper. I wanted an ad that was going to stand out from all the other advertisements. I had my business cards, but I felt I needed something more.

Doing my research I noticed many other businesses used letterheads to bring attention to their business. They had the name of their company, the address, contact information, and the information when they were open for business. This was a good opportunity for me to improve my business, get the word out to more customers, and do the advertising in an easy and professional manner.
